BNG and Carbon Sequestration
Hepple has had SSSI and SAC designations for over two decades and our biodiversity management is well recognised. For us, carbon sequestration must come with biodiversity gain to be meaningful.
How we do it
Our BNG programmes are discreet projects that fit within and support the wider ecosystem recovery at Hepple. Examples of our projects are new wetland areas, new wood pasture through naturalistic planting and light grazing and species reintroduction.

Our Ecology Advisory committee consists of experts drawn from a wide range of ecological practices. We want to go way beyond the basics of how to monitor for biodiversity and have chosen employ a range of high-tech systems to ensure our management delivers.
